Wild Rabbit Massage
Sometimes healing isn't about doing more.
Sometimes it's about discovering what your body can do when it no longer has to carry the weight alone.
Watsu® is a gentle form of aquatic bodywork performed in warm therapeutic water, where your body is continuously supported through flowing movement, mindful stretching, quiet stillness, & nurturing touch. Rather than working on your body, the water becomes part of the healing—allowing muscles to soften, joints to decompress, breath to deepen, and the nervous system to settle into a state that is often difficult to reach on land.
No two sessions are alike. Each experience is guided by careful listening and your body's natural rhythms.
Like the Wild Rabbit, healing happens through awareness rather than force—meeting your body exactly where it is and allowing it the space to unfold at its own pace.
Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain, recovering from injury, navigating stress, or simply longing for deep rest, Watsu® offers a rare opportunity to experience complete support without effort.
Many clients describe leaving with more than physical relief. They leave feeling lighter, calmer, & more connected to themselves—as though they've remembered what it feels like to move without resistance.
At Wild Rabbit Massage®, Watsu® isn't simply a treatment. It's an invitation to float, breathe, soften, and reconnect with the quiet wisdom your body has carried all along.
Depth. Presence. Relief.
healing flows naturally.
You May Be Drawn to Watsu® If…
You don't need to be in pain to experience Watsu®.
Some come seeking relief. Others come simply curious about what it feels like to be gently moved, fully supported, and weightless in warm water.
Sometimes healing begins not with something to fix, but with the willingness to experience something new.
Warm water supports your body continuously.
Without the constant demand of gravity, muscles often don't need to brace as strongly. Joints can move with greater ease. Breath naturally deepens. The nervous system is invited into a state of safety, allowing many people to experience profound relaxation while remaining fully present.
The experience is both therapeutic and meditative.
Structured, yet fluid.
Gentle, yet remarkably powerful.
Many clients describe leaving feeling...
Often, it's difficult to explain.
It simply feels unlike anything else.
Whether you've spent years managing chronic pain, pushing through athletic training, carrying emotional stress, or simply putting everyone else's needs before your own, your body deserves time to be supported instead of always doing the supporting.
Imagine moving without effort.
Breathing without holding.
Floating instead of bracing.
Receiving instead of doing.
Sometimes that's where change begins.
You don't need to know how to float or swim.
You don't need to be flexible.
You don't need to be "the right kind of client."
You simply need a willingness to experience what it feels like to be fully supported.
"What if, for just one hour, gravity let go... and your body remembered how to do the same?"
Watsu® (short for Water Shiatsu) was developed in the early 1980s by Harold Dull in Harbin Hot Springs, California.
Dull was originally a poet and Zen practitioner who studied Shiatsu massage in Japan. After bringing those principles back to the United States, he began experimenting with something new—what would happen if the same ideas of meridian-based bodywork, presence, & breath were brought into warm, supportive water.
What he discovered changed the direction of his work entirely.
Traditional Shiatsu is performed on land, using finger pressure, stretching, and energetic pathways to support balance in the body.
But in water, something different became possible.
When the body is supported by buoyancy, gravity no longer pulls in the same way. Movement becomes easier. Joints decompress. Muscles are no longer required to hold or stabilize in the same way they do on land.
This opened the door to a new kind of bodywork:
one that blends floating, stretching, stillness, and gentle movement into a continuous, flowing experience.
Where precision meets presence.
Table work is an integrative approach to bodywork that blends therapeutic intervention with deep nervous system restoration. It’s designed for bodies carrying both physical patterns—like tension, injury history, and compensation—and the quieter layers of stress that don’t always have language yet.
Chelsea begins by understanding how your body is organizing itself: where it holds, where it protects, & where it has adapted over time. From there, she works with your tissues directly—muscle, fascia, & trigger points—while staying attuned to the nervous system so change can land without overwhelm.
This is structured work, but never forceful. It is precise, but still deeply restorative.
Clients often experience it as both:
Over time, the body may begin to shift in layers:
Clients often say:
“I didn’t realize I was holding that much… & I feel so much lighter.”
Best for:
There is a quiet intelligence beneath the skin.
A living field of sensation—attentive, responsive, continuously translating touch into meaning, meaning into state, state into being.
Within this landscape, the nervous system speaks through delicate sensory gateways, each attuned to a different language of contact: pressure, vibration, stretch, stillness. Not abstract ideas, but living mechanisms of awareness—how the body recognizes itself in the world.
In their quiet coordination, the body learns something ancient and simple:
it does not have to brace to be safe.
